Denver commercial kitchen hood cleaning
Research index for operators. Public rules we found, how to vet a cleaner, open listing slots. Not a ranked vendor list.
What operators usually get asked
- Restaurant / commercial kitchen permitting often bundles building + health + sewer + fire via E-permits; hood changes need mechanical/health review; appliance changes must prove hood/makeup-air capacity.
- DFD materials for solid-fuel / mobile cooking cite IFC-aligned frequencies (solid fuel monthly; high-volume every 3 months; other every 6 months) with records and tags. Treat as DFD practice for mobiles; verify for fixed restaurants with DFD Fire Prevention.
- Mobile vendor contact cited in public materials: DFDMobiles@denvergov.org / 720-913-3405 (verify current).
- No useful dedicated fixed-restaurant “hood cleaning only” ordinance page beyond IFC/DMC adoption was located. Confirm grease-clean intervals and docs with DFD Fire Prevention. Suppression service remains a separate track.
Vet checklist
- Certs your AHJ accepts (IKECA or local equivalent) — ask, then verify
- Certificate of insurance before they arrive
- Photo report: plenum, ducts, rooftop fan — not only the canopy
- Full-system vs canopy wipe in writing
- After-hours and roof access confirmed before the crew shows up
